Marketplace Role
Neighborly Harvest helps facilitate marketplace orders, but independent farms are generally responsible for farm-caused product, listing, pickup, delivery, and fulfillment issues.
Refund eligibility may depend on the farm policy, product perishability, order status, pickup or delivery status, payment status, and whether the issue was caused by the farm, customer, delivery failure, or platform error.
Perishable Products
Many farm products are perishable, seasonal, temperature-sensitive, or prepared in limited quantities. Perishable goods may have limited refund eligibility once they have been harvested, packed, prepared, picked up, delivered, or made unavailable to other customers.
Customers should review product details, storage instructions, pickup windows, delivery windows, and farm policies before ordering. Missed pickup windows, incorrect addresses, unavailable customers, or delayed retrieval of perishable items may reduce or eliminate refund eligibility.
Cancellations and Order Changes
Cancellation eligibility depends on the farm's stated policy, the order cutoff time, preparation status, harvest status, delivery routing, and whether the order has already been fulfilled.
Farms may approve substitutions, partial refunds, reschedules, or cancellations when inventory changes or fulfillment issues occur. Customers should contact the farm or Neighborly Harvest as soon as possible if an order needs review.
Disputes and Platform Errors
Neighborly Harvest may help facilitate disputes by reviewing order records, payment status, customer communications, farm communications, photos, and other relevant information.
If an issue is caused by a platform error, such as incorrect checkout handling or duplicate payment capture, Neighborly Harvest may help correct the issue or coordinate a refund through the payment processor.
Chargebacks and Abuse Prevention
Customers should contact Neighborly Harvest before filing a chargeback so we can review the order. Chargebacks may require us to share order records, communications, delivery details, and other transaction evidence with payment processors.
Neighborly Harvest may limit, suspend, or close accounts that abuse refunds, make fraudulent claims, evade payment, misuse chargebacks, or create repeated operational risk for farms or the marketplace.
